The Boston Conservatory Program for Students on the Autism Spectrum was the brainchild of the Autism Higher Education Foundation (AHEF) and was designed and developed by AHEF in partnership with the prestigious Boston Conservatory in 2007. The program’s objective was to develop musical talents and abilities such that the students may eventually have the musical skills to apply to a Conservatory or College Music Program at age 18. This program was groundbreaking and the first of its kind in the nation.
We invite you to watch our video to see how it all started:
The Boston Conservatory has since gone on to develop Autism Spectrum Programs which in addition to music includes dance, chorus, and variety of other programs.
