Camille Khodadad is head of the employment law practice group at Hall Prangle and Schoonveld, LLC. She represents employers in labor and employment litigation. She has extensive experience representing employers in employment litigation before administrative agencies such as the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Civil Rights, the Department of Labor, and state and federal courts across the country. Camille handles cases under all laws involving the employment relationship including state and federal employment and discrimination laws, the Employment Retirement and Income Security Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition, Camille handles cases involving allegations of state law tort claims such as assault, battery, defamation, tortious inference with contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent supervision and retention, and negligent misrepresentation. While Camille is a very active litigator, she also counsels clients on measures to adopt to prevent litigation. To that end, Camille counsels clients on matters involving employee discipline, employment termination, wage and hour issues, workplace investigations, leaves of absence, and compliance with federal and state employment and discrimination laws. Camille also reviews employer handbooks and conducts training programs regarding sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act and other employment law topics. Camille has been recognized as a “Leading Lawyer,” a selection of lawyers who were most often recognized by their peers in statewide services. Camille has written a number of articles and lectured on a variety of employment law topics. She is the author of the Chicago Lawyer magazine’s Women@Work column. Camille also was appointed to a special Research Advisory Committee which was asked to study the acceptability of mediation in federal district court lawsuits. Prior to joining HPS, Camille was a partner at Lord, Bissell & Brook in the Commercial Litigation Department and Labor and Employment Practice Group.
